Tim Deboom ascends from hell

26 07 2007

July 22, 2007- Boulder, CO

In support of our F4 athletes at Sunday’s Boulder Peak Triathlon, coaches Ivy Koger, Michael Kelly and I donned semi-official Tour de France “Devil” costumes and rode up the “hellish” Old Stage Rd. to cheer on the riders.

We arrived just in time to cheer on the first age 50+ athlete and stayed through the final age grouper, then the women pros, then the men. In total, about 1,400 riders went by with special encouragement from the F4 devils, and we had a blast!

Let us know if you were one of the lucky ones to get a pitchfork poke, or just a few thoughts on what it was like climbing up to an 18 degree slope.
