The Fictitious 1st Annual LASP 8-Ball Tourney!

12 11 2006

E-mail sent from Scott Gurst on November 7th to ‘close the deal’ on the rouse that would have me fully expecting a pool tournament Saturday night at the Foundry, NOT 60+ amazing friends there to help me celebrate my 40th Birthday.

Heres the info about the tourney. Seems pretty straight-forward. I havent taken the time to review the official 8-Ball rules in detail, but Im assuming you know most of what we need to know.

Practice tonight at the Lazy Dog? That way, we can crush the Venus Region, and roll through the Final Four!

Thanks for signing up for the 1st Annual LASP 8-Ball Tournament! We have a full bracket of 16 teams ready to compete for the $500 first prize. (see attached bracket)

We have four tables reserved for the night at the Foundry, located on Walnut Street between 11th and Broadway. The first round games in the Neptune and Pluto regions will start their opening round matches at 8 PM, and the Mars and Venus regions will start whenever the first two regions finish. Please arrive a few minutes early to check in.

After the first round games are all completed, the four quarter-final round matches will all start at the same time, followed by the two semi-final matches (which will start simultaneously), and then the finals.

Each round will be best of three, except for the finals, which will be best of five. World Standard 8-Ball rules apply.

Send me an e-mail if you have any questions. Rack-em Up!
